Tangled

Your temper unravels,
Swinging..
Fraying at the ends;
Like a yarn that’s
Lost its way
And now lies
In a mess,
A jumbled heap
Upon a recently swept floor.
I try to understand how the yarn
Unfurled.
What caused the tangle?
But soon realise
That if I’m slow
And gentle,
I can untangle it,
Untangle you
Until things all make sense
Once more.

Sometimes yarn just unraveled. No rhyme or reason. Best not to ask just apply gentle fingers to getting it back into a shape xx

  2. Lovely analogy. So much more instinctive to meet anger with anger, but gentleness is more effective any day.
