Sleepy Stories

It’s time for sleepy stories,
Listen up and snuggle tight,
But wait a minute Lyra,
Something doesn’t look quite right…

I can’t seem to read this,
There’s someone in the way,
Someone with a waggy tail,
Who thinks it’s time to play.

Someone who thinks story-time
Has come too soon tonight,
Who’d rather chase and run around
Than bid the day good night.

The words are rather hard to read,
I can’t see past his face,
We do love KaiKai cuddles,
But it’s not the time or place.

Settle down please KaiKai,
And Lyra settle too,
Snuggle up, together, friends,
I’ll read to both of you.
