Poisoned Tongue

You don’t really care
For feelings do you?
Looking down
Your ill words spake,
The feelings of others
Tatters in your wake.

You speak with disregard
Of the pain
Your poisoned tongue
Each word
A rusty knife
Driven into a wound
Amidst shock and shivers.

I wonder,
Do you know
And not care,
Or are you really so blind
That you don’t see
Others’ despair?

One Response to Poisoned Tongue

  1. I think lots of people really are oblivious. They are so in pain themselves.
