Dark Corners

It wasn’t meant to be this way
She thought,
Her mind abuzz
Questioning the way things were,
The way a harsh mind does.
She saw into the corners
That were dark and obsolete,
And she pieced together broken bits
But never felt complete.
Quite why she felt she understood
The way that things should be,
Yet couldn’t make her life that way
She couldn’t really see.
She knew just how not to do things,
Could label her mistakes,
But the right ways felt beyond her
They weren’t actions she could take.

Sometimes we are using the wrong glue. We need to be able to sit back and look at the whole picture before we start glueing xx
