Mummy Owl

The small owl nestled in his mother’s wing
And listened to her gently sing,
A lullaby so sweet and pure,
That he could not resist its lure.
It pulled him into dream-filled sleep,
He tumbled, knowing she would keep
Him safe from harm,
Beneath her wing
And all night long, to him, she’d sing.
