Forever Home?

She placed the star upon the tree
A wish within her heart
That Christmas with this family
Would signal a new start.
She’d heard so much about them
And they sounded nice and kind
But the problem with new families
Is you don’t know what you’ll find.
She hoped she’d found forever though,
With them and these four walls,
A place to call forever home
The best gift of them all.
A home which she could call her own,
A hope she’d held so long,
But was she with a family
Who felt she could belong?
She didn’t know but prayed and hoped,
She’d have to wait and see
If dreams come true when wished
As stars are placed on Christmas trees.

Oh I do hope so many sad children will find this sort of happiness this Christmas
