Proudly, Loudly, Wrong

She walked,
Proudly,
But with the certainty
Of one who knew she was wrong.
And she sang,
Loudly.
She knew the words,
But of a different song.

Strong, wrong-footed
She travelled
Day and night,
Along a straight path
That forced her tears,
And made her laugh.

She scanned the horizon for a different way,
But whilst she knew this way was wrong,
She saw no other.

And so she walked a wrong path,
And she walked it
Proudly;
And she sang a wrong song,
And she sang it
Loudly.

I think firstly, you have to start travelling even if it is the wrong path. Once you take a few steps, you can then review the path & change.
