Anxiety

She says she’s fine,
But her heart is pounding,
Ready to explode,
Her palms are sweating
And her breaths come short and shallow.
Right now the world is her enemy
And everything terrifies her.
She says she’s fine
Because there’s nothing else to say.
This is her normal now,
With each step,
Panic…
