Summer rain splashed on her hair and her clothes,
Gushes of water dripped off of her nose,
But she couldn’t care less,
That her hair was a mess,
Because dancing in rain made her happy.
She splished and she sploshed,
(In the clothes mum just washed)
She danced,
And she sang,
She was happy.
And everyone watched as she danced in the rain,
And the words that they said formed a common refrain;
Why can’t we all
Dance and jump in the rain
And forget all our woes and be happy!
This really touched my heart – it’s so like my littlest girl. Why can’t we all remember the wonder of dancing in the rain? So many of lifes pleasures we miss because we have to “act” mature.

you’re so right! Life is a lot more fun when we let go of all our adult inhibitions!

I think we have to learn how – we’ve been trying to be all grown up for way too long. Having kids helps.
