Dear God Daughter

I hold you in my heart,
If not my arms.
I think of you
Much more than you could know.
Since you were born
You won me with your charm,
And the personality
I’ve loved watch grow.
I wish that you were nearby,
Then I’d hold you,
And tickle you each day beneath your chin,
But your home’s far from my home
As the crow flies,
But look into my heart,
You’re there within.

My Godson is 3 on Saturday. Love him with all my heart. I don’t have any children of my own so he’s extra special to me.
