Spaceships

What would you do,
If you saw spaceships,
Descending through darkness,
And landing in fields?
Would you run there to greet them,
Take selfies
And souvenirs,
Show them the way round
And offer them tea?
Or would you run screaming,
Away from the spaceships,
Full of anxiety, panic and fear?
Or maybe you’d stand there
And stare at the spaceships,
Rooted with panic
Face streaming with tears.
Maybe there’s no right way,
For dealing with spaceships,
We just manage them
Best as we can at the time.

  1. “Outta my way. You’re blocking my view of the moon.” Ha ha. 🙂

  2. Seriously, though, we get into that situation often in real life. Maybe your poem is right, there is no right way.
