School’s Out

Up and and down,
Our pastures green,
There’s not a teacher
To be seen,
They’re all ensconced
In pubs and bars,
Where amidst cheers
And loud hurrahs,
They finally
Relax a while,
The marking?
Add it to the pile…
Now is our time
To stop
And rest,
For all term long
We’ve done our best.
School is out,
They’ve locked the doors;
For two weeks,
We are ‘miss’ no more.
