In And Out

She assembled her face
In a smile,
In a grin.
What showed from without,
Hid the pain felt within.
It’s quite easy to fool those
Who want to be fooled,
To pull wool over eyes
Where wool waits to be pulled.
So the world just accepted
With a smile,
With a grin,
That the look from without,
Showed the mood from within.

With one of my Kipsigis (Kenyan) name being Chebyebye, meaning the smiling girl, this poem couldn’t ring more true. xx

Sometimes, “are you sure” can unravel a lot…it means you really want to know, that you care
