Raining Cats and Dogs

Cats and dogs fell from the sky,
Amidst confused commuters.
Who thought, at first, they must have spent
Too long at their computers.
But as the dogs began to bark,
And cats miaowed and hissed,
The London folk got out their phones,
As this could not be missed.
They captured felines, canines too
In states of frenzied madness,
And loaded it up onto YouTube
Then realised, with some sadness,
That all that could be seen on screen,
Were raindrops and big puddles.
Friends and families alike
Viewed these films slightly muddled.
The moral of the story is
(For there should always be one)
Meteorological anomalies
Enjoyed first hand are more fun.
