A Magical Winter’s Evening

We step into the cold night air,
And oh what magic greets us there,
The frost is shining, diamond bright,
It’s freezing cold, we’re wrapped up tight,
In scarves and mittens, hats and shawls,
Each one of us a child enthralled.
The stars illuminate our path,
The moon gives us a golden bath.
We breathe in frosty lungs of air,
Whilst snowflakes glisten in our hair.
Just feet from home and hand in hand,
We’re in a winter wonderland
