I was curious about how common this technique is. So last night after some googling I came up with this blog post:

Larry Eigner, a poet since the 1950’s wrote 43 one-word-per-line poems between the years of 1971 and 1992. Some a mere 2 words, the longest 18. It made for an interesting read, given that I’ve never been much into poetic history. I suppose we just didn’t delve into what interested me during school studies.
Admittedly my google-fu is merely average, so others may find out more on this technique.
