Poetry Prompt 47 – If walls could talk

write a poem which imagines the tales that a specific set of walls would tell if they could talk

Today’s prompt is to write a poem which imagines the tales that a specific set of walls would tell if they could talk

You might like to consider:

  • Which walls should you choose, some well-known to you or some with some historic significance?
  • Should you choose real or imagined walls?
  • Should you look to repeat the history of the many things the walls have witnessed or conjure up a specific incident?
  • Should you specifically talk about the walls in your poem or just use them to inspire its writing?

Happy reading, happy writing -and if you do write, don’t forget to post your poem (in full or as a link) in the comments below so we can all enjoy it.
