Life’s Ladder

The more we climb,
The further we’ll fall,
Maybe we shouldn’t
Climb at all?
From way up high,
The ground looks far,
But up here’s
Where our life’s dreams are.
So maybe it’s worth,
The risk we run,
If we don’t climb,
We’ll have no fun.
And if we fall,
We could climb some more
A different route
Than we tried before.

Today’s prompt is to write a poem which includes climbing.

    Unless you can a-climb-a-tize,
To climb at all is never wise …
