Life
Can feel
Hard to bear
And most unfair
An uphill struggle
And nightmarish muddle
You’re fighting on your own.
But stop and look, and you will see
That though you’re fully grown,
All around are helping hands,
Who’ll guide and care and
Understand, as you find
Your way down. Let
Them help you,
Let them try
And never
Be afraid
To cry

Today’s prompt is to write a poem which forms a pyramid on the page
I really enjoyed this poem and the way that “find your way down” fits into the downslope of your pyramid shape.

thank you, that’s what I was aiming for though I didn’t know how well it came across xxx

This was original, you made a pyramid of beautiful words if you look it from left to right.

thanks Charly, I really messed up when I wrote the prompt! I found this quite hard, it was very restrictive and did not lend itself to rhyme or rhythm.

Brilliant! And yours actually built a pyramid! Mine turned into diamonds rather than pyramids… *sigh*

That’s because I wrote the prompt all wrong! If you left justify it will be a sideways pyramid I think??

Tears here. I’m falling apart despite my fighting not to. There are so many helping hands but not nearby, it’s in these times when only a real hug would do, the one thing that isn’t possible….
I’m sorry. x

I’m sorry things are so hard right now. Hugs do always help. I wish virtual ones were as effective – I’m sending you plenty.
