Drifting Off

Go to sleep little darling,
Rest your weary head,
Think the day through,
As you lie in your bed.

Go to sleep little darling,
Close your eyes tight,
Dream of dragons and butterflies,
All through the night.

Go to sleep little darling,
Let yourself drift,
Let your worries and troubles,
Gradually lift.

Go to sleep little darling,
Here in my arms,
So that you know and I know,
That you’re safe from harm.

Oh this is different. A gentle lullaby. I love it!
It could be for yourself or for your children.
