I wish I had the words to show,
How much you mean to me.
I love you to the moon and back,
But how to make you see?
It’s the little things I love the most,
The way you make me tea,
And heat it half a dozen times,
And hand it back to me.
Or how you do the horrid jobs,
Involving puke and pee,
With a smile upon your face,
So they don’t fall to me.
How you act all sensible,
Keeping finances in line,
But never ever lecture,
When I fritter cash online.
Or how you roll your sleeves up
And play glitter with the girls,
The doting way they look at you,
Completely makes my world.
I love the way you’re a good son,
To both your Mum and Dad,
Sharing in the good times,
And sorting out the bad.
But most of all, I love the way,
You seem to love me too.
It makes me feel wonderful,
To mean the world to you.
[Today is my 100th daily poem. It seemed fitting to dedicate it to the person who inspires me to face the world afresh each day.]
Congratulations to you and your special man. It *is* for love that we do those little and seemingly mundane things each day and as needed.

A precious love letter of a poem. I’m so pleased you and Tom have each other. Loving and being loved is a gift to treasure. One of the things I like most about this poem is the mention of everyday things. Love isn’t all mad movie star passion (although that’s fun too 🙂 ) it’s being there every day, a helping hand, a comforting hug… We all deserve to find ‘our person’, I’m so glad you’ve found yours.
And congratulations on 100 poems. In the process of writing and sharing all those lovely words, you’ve gathered a caring community around yourself. This member of your special community cares very much, and is so grateful for your loving presence.
Love you and love your poems
Tricia xx

I kind of think the every day things are the most important, the crazy romance stuff is only ever fleeting. I hope to spend 70 years or more with my Tom, only a small fraction of those will be passionate, but I hope that every one will be made up of lots and lots of little things that really matter.
And thank you – if I stopped tomorrow but kept you as a friend then this daft foray will have been worth it a million times over xxx

This is a beautiful tribute Pooky. Don’t let him go will you.
It is interesting that the small things are important, i had that said to me just recently and we so often take those things for granted, but wonderful that you see them and pay tribute to Tom for doing so.
Congratulations.
