No Poem Today (a poem)

I didn’t write a poem today
I couldn’t find the time.
I meant to,
I tried to,
I almost did…
But things got in the way.
You know how you have those days sometimes,
When time just runs away?
Before you know it, it’s bedtime,
And your to do list has wandered astray.
Well today, for me, was that day;
It was good but it wasn’t as planned.
I got a lot done,
And we all had some fun,
But no poem was written today.

  1. Love it, Pooky. Sitting here with the Australian sunshine streaming through the glass doors with a big doofus grin on my face. Me and Big Ted declare the above to be ‘A Poem’.
    Big hugs of happiness to you. xx

      Well if Big Ted has decreed it a poem then it must be so 🙂

      Much love to you and thanks for making me smile. Enjoy the sunshine. It is definitely ‘sensible coat’ weather here in London. xxx
