A day in the life of a pre-schooler’s Mum

Why is the sky blue?
Why did that cow moo?
Why is the world round?
Why are moles underground?
What does vulva mean?
What’s that big machine?
What’s Uncle Robin’s name?
What’s the point of this game?
Who’s that fat man?
Whose is that yellow van?
Whose cup is that?
Who chose that hat?
Where’s Zimbabwe?
What is Feng Shui?
What day is it today?
When’s Amy’s birthday?
When will you answer me?

When you shhhh and let me!

[inspired by today's napowrimo prompt. These are all questions I've been asked by my girls recently]

So many lovely questions! And I can only imagine how wonderful AND tiring it must be… Great take on the prompt, in my humble opinion!

I have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. You are too kind! This photo was taken on my wedding day so I put it down to a great cover up job!!! Teehee.

ha ha! I guess you had your babies young then. I think it’s great to be young enough to really enjoy them. I was 27 when my babies were born but I think it’s just about young enough, I certainly think it would be hard to keep up if I was much older (but then I’m quite creaky for someone my age!)

Yep – 23 and 28 when I had them. I agree – being younger has helped, although I think they’ve actually aged me somewhat. Heehee, the joys of motherhood!

I know what you mean, we had our girls within a year of being married – on our fifth anniversary when we looked back at our wedding pics we realised we’d aged at LEAST ten years. They are worth every wrinkle though – and just think of all the adventures we’ll still be young enough to have with our grown up children one day!

  3. I hope you answered them all especially the question about the “V” word. What on earth did you say?

Great poem. Always enjoy a humorous twist at the end. (I recognised the prompt immediately as I had a go at it last night but wasn’t happy with my result)

I’m going to go and raid your blog now. Why were you unhappy with yours?

I have an unpublished attempt at the question poem. I set myself a framework and filled it in, but It is far too rough and uneven. No flow, there wasn’t much inspiration. Need to be inspired in some way before writing another.
